Sheryl Kolby is co-owner and Vice President of Kolby Construction, a luxury design-build firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company specializes in custom remodeling and home additions. Sheryl began her professional journey in the finance sector, where she developed strong business expertise. However, her longstanding passion for renovation design and real estate ultimately inspired her to transition into the construction and design industry. A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Business Management, Sheryl brings a strategic approach to overseeing Kolby Construction’s operations. In addition, she holds a North Carolina real estate broker license, giving her valuable insight into the local housing market and enhancing the firm's ability to serve clients effectively. As Vice President, Sheryl is deeply involved in business operations, client engagement, and project oversight. Her sharp design sensibility and attention to detail have played a pivotal role in establishing Kolby Construction’s reputation for quality craftsmanship and a strong client-focused approach.
Phil Kolby is co-owner and president of Kolby Construction, a luxury design-build firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company specializes in custom remodeling and home additions. Phil grew up working alongside his father in the construction industry, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in new construction. This early exposure sparked his passion for building and honed his meticulous attention to detail, which remains a hallmark of his work today. After studying business at Rutgers University, Phil co-founded Kolby Construction almost 25 years ago with his wife, Sheryl. The couple moved to Charlotte to start the company with a vision to provide clients with custom solutions for remodeling and additions, blending quality craftsmanship with innovative design. Phil has both a North and South Carolina General Contractors license, and is well-versed in building codes and standards. Phil’s commitment to delivering exceptional results is evident in every project, whether it’s a custom home remodel, an addition, or a full design-build transformation. His attention to detail and focus on client satisfaction have helped establish Kolby Construction as a trusted leader in the Charlotte area, with a reputation for excellence in every aspect of construction and design.
Samy Kolby is a dedicated student at the University of South Carolina, and is pursuing a degree in Real Estate and Construction Management. With a strong work ethic both in the classroom and on the soccer field, Samy is committed to building a future in the construction and real estate industries. Growing up in a family business, Samy has been immersed in the remodeling world from a young age. He has spent significant time learning the ins and outs of the industry by working alongside his parents. This hands-on experience has given him valuable insight into the remodeling business, reinforcing his passion for both the technical and business aspects of construction. In addition to his academic pursuits, Samy is an accomplished soccer player, balancing his athletic commitments with his education and work in the construction field. His strong discipline, leadership, and team-oriented mindset on the field translate directly into his approach to his studies and future career. As he continues his education, Samy is eager to combine his knowledge of real estate, construction management, and hands-on experience to make a meaningful impact in the industry.
